“Well, I will preface this little essay by saying,

This is my blog and I can write

anything I want to write.

Today, I’ve got something on my mind I’d like to talk about..

MY HAIR

**

“Your hair?” you may be saying as you look askance.

You may be wondering, “Now  What?”

“Yes, my hair,” I say.

“I want to talk about how much I love my hair!”

**

Early this morning, as I walked with my dogs,  we  passed two friends who were walking in the opposite direction. We stopped to exchange short greetings.  My dogs like to say “hello” to people along the way.

**

“Wow, I love your hair. It looks great!” the woman said to me.

I have known her for about forty-five years. Our children grew up together and were best friends all through school.

“Thanks!  I’ve been letting it grow out,” I replied.

”Oh, no! I tried to do that before but it was just too hard. I had to go back to having it dyed again,” she said.

“Well, it has been one year this month since I started letting it grow out. It takes some time and you have to be patient,” I told her. I remembered that she had stopped me about two weeks ago to tell me how much she loved my hair.  I smiled and thanked her so much.

As we parted, her response was, “Well, you hair sure looks wonderful!”

I wished her a happy day because she was on her way to work.

The next time she says something about my hair, I think I will let her in on my secret.

**

This is not the first conversation like this I have had with people recently. In fact, I am hearing it all the time from women of all ages. They all smile and tell me enthusiastically how beautiful they think my hair is. Of course, I begin to glisten with joy when they say things like this. Every girl loves to shine and sparkle.

**

I call it my SECRET but today I am sharing it with YOU, my readers.

My hair is fantastic because I use only WEN!  It’s been my “little secret” for a year now. I think it is time to let my little secret out so that other people can enjoy getting lots of compliments on their own hair as well And, besides, I love to share good things with everyone.

First, I started using WEN cleansing conditioner on my hair one year ago after I received my first bottle of WEN as a birthday gift from a dear friend.

I used no other products at all except WEN. As the months rolled by, my hair responded by becoming thicker, shinier, curlier, and vibrant.  In fact, it felt different after the FIRST use. I was amazed.

My new WEN hair is so silky that I find myself reaching up and running my hands through it often.  It’s just amazing at age seventy-two I am so excited about my hair! (My birthday is this week!) Just think of it, SEXY hair, at age seventy-two!

The SECOND PART of my SECRET hair life is that once I started using WEN, I quit using coloring and processing techniques. In addition, I eliminated all hair styling tools on my hair. Yes!  No longer do I use a hair dryer, curling iron, or straightening iron, or anything else that causes hair to be damaged. I no longer go to the hairdresser who for years used harsh processing coloring products on my hair.

**

The RESULTS are all positive:

ONE-

My hair looks and feels wonderful and I cannot believe it is me sometimes. It feels fresh, smells fantastic  and clean and bouncy, and I love it.

TWO-

I have lots more time in the day since I don’t spend it in front of a mirror fussing with my hair.

THREE-

I no longer spend a lot of money and my valuable time visiting the hair salon. Instead, I have more money to spend on other things I enjoy. My only hair expense is a bottle of WEN occasionally, and about every 8 weeks a trim at the hair salon.

How easy is that!

FOUR-

It feels fantastic to be age seventy-two and get stopped in the street by people wanting to give me compliments on my hair. If that isn’t motivating, I don’t know what is!

I feel like a star  and I love to sparkle.
