Sharing a beautiful poem today.
Sitting on a beach sounds wonderful doesn’t it?
Right now, we are in the deep freeze – with snow and ice and predictions of even lower temps and winds coming from the north.
May we all be “on a beach” occasionally, in our memories, as we move through the winter months – one day at a time.
for the first time
in seeming months
we sat at water’s edge
mesmerized by stillness
listening
to the gentle lap of waves
feeling the warmth
of afternoon sun
slowly melt our frozen souls
shadows passed
as geese honked overhead
laughing children scurried by
Ah…
I heard a voice within
at last,
there is hope again

S[ring is still a long way off. February and March are typically the cold and lots of snow In western PA. But, since winter is my favorite season, I’m not really complaining. As long as the furnace is working, all’s well.
