Blogger Patty L. Fletcher is the first to know about the prestigious award I received recently. I have not yet sent out official press releases but have been sitting on this news for some time. I wanted Patty to be the FIRST to know for she has been a wonderful friend. Thank you, Patty for your blog feature. Since I have retired from academia and no longer lecture across the country at conferences, I was never expecting something like this. But, God has always delighted in giving us special surprises when we least expect them. I am most grateful for this award at this time in my life.
Thank you to all of my friends who encourage me and inspire me every day. You have blessed my life in so many ways.

Patty, thank you for reminding me of your publicity service. I need it!
Today, Im working on getting out the snail-mail notices to regional newspapers, etc.
I have them writing and in envelopes and awaiting the addressed and will mail them out in the morning. Once this is done, then I will think about what to do next for today.
Sounds like you’re doing a great job.
Keep it up.
Just email and let me know if I can do anything for you.
Thank you for such a kind and sincere response to my good news. I’ll be home today and must get the press releases ready to send out. I’ve got a lot to get done today, but first, I must get a blog post written for my 7 Favorite Poets series. I am behind on it because “life” intervened again – lol Catching up –

Hi Joan.
So great of you to read and comment.
thank you very much, Joan.
I know – so thankful for this recognition.
I never take such things for granted – special moments.
Hi, Lynda, I think, your attitude here, about not taking these things for granted, speaks volumes as to why you were chosen for such a wonderful award. It isn’t enough just to write. We must live in such a way so that what we write has true meaning. You accomplish that.
